Friday notes

*Yovani Gallardo will throw his first bullpen as an Oriole on Saturday.

*Mike Wright and Tyler Wilson are the likely candidates to start the first spring game on Tuesday in Orlando. Orioles manager Buck Showalter wasn’t definite just yet.

*The pitchers threw live batting practice today and the team will hold a five-inning intrasquad game on Saturday on the back fields at 12:30 p.m. They should stay around 15 pitches each. Fans can watch the game on the back fields, just like they watch practice.

Saturday’s pitchers: Zach Britton, Brian Matusz, Parker Bridwell, Mychal Givens, Andy Oliver on one team. Ubaldo Jimenez, Odrisamer Despaigne, Chaz Roe, Dale Thayer, Andrew Triggs on the other.

Sunday’s pitchers: Chris Tillman, Kevin Gausman, Jason Garcia, Brad Brach, Todd Redmond, Cesar Cabral on one team. Miguel Gonzalez, T.J. McFarland, Dylan Bundy, Vance Worley, Hunter Harvey and Ashur Tolliver will pitch against the.

*The Orioles fit Chris Lee with protective glasses today after detecting something in the physical.

*Nolan Reimold did not take part in throwing during the workout today. Showalter said the area was a little cranky and Reimold wanted to be cautious with it.

*Mark Trumbo worked out with the outfielders today and Showatler said that would have happened “regardless of what happened the last 24 hours.” Trumbo has been rotating between infield and outfield groups, just like Jimmy Paredes.

Are we still pursuing Austin Jackson as an outfielder?
