Orioles @ Yankees

Greetings from the Bronx, where the Os will open a three-game series to cap their road trip. Baltimore won Friday night but lost its last two games in Toronto.

*J.J. Hardy is set to be activated off the disabled list on Tuesday. Hardy has been rehabbing back from a groin injury and has been running at 100 percent with no issues. You can tell he’s more than ready to get back to playing.

*Dariel Alvarez will also be back on the active roster on Tuesday. Alvarez had visa issues that did not permit him to go to Canada and he was optioned to Frederick, who ends their season today.

*Matt Wieters is not starting today and remains out of the lineup with a nagging left wrist injury. Wieters tried to test it in the cage today and said he didn’t feel he was the club’s best option. Manager Buck Showalter said Wieters is improving, however.

This is our best lineup without Hardy and Matt. but I like Nolan in 9th spot protected by Manny.

Visa problem? Doesn’t sound right. Alvarez and or the organization should have had any obstacles taken care of when placed on the roster knowing the team would be traveling out of the US to Canada. Just very curious because this should never had happened and it leaves one believe the worst ie; a small criminal matter that may prevent Canadians from allowing entry.
Any thoughts Britt?

He had a work visa issue was what we were told.
