Axios Wine announces “2131” wine
In honor of the 20th anniversary celebration of Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. breaking Lou Gehrig’s record for the most consecutive games played, Axios Wine has announced a limited edition 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. One-third of the proceeds will benefit the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, a national nonprofit providing baseball/softball-themed programs to help build character and teach critical life lessons to underserved youth residing in America’s most distressed communities.
“2131,” named after Ripken’s record-breaking moment, will come in a limited run of 2,131 numbered bottles and sold individually in wood-and-glass cases retailing for $300. One hundred of the celebratory cases will include a Cal Ripken, Jr. signed Hall of Fame baseball, valued at $500.
Pre-Orders are being accepted now and will be first come, first served at www.AxiosWine.com. The official release date of “2131” is set for November 1, 2015.
