Orioles vs. Rangers Game 1 (updated)

Greetings from Camden Yards, where the Orioles will play the Rangers for the first of a four-game series before going on the road. Jonathan Schoop is here and took some infield, but is not expected to be activated tonight. He could go Triple-A Norfolk to continue his rehab assignment, but there’s not really a rush as the O’s are going to have a make roster move.

There will be a move on Thursday as the Orioles need a starter and Kevin Gausman is going to get the ball for that. He will likely only be up for one start, but a lot can happen in a few days.

Orioles pitching prospect Dylan Bundy has been shut down from throwing with nothing imminent on his return. He’s had some inflammation in his right shoulder and hasn’t pitched in a game since May 21. The O’s aren’t discussing surgery options right now, but manager Buck Showalter said Bundy could be done for the season. The Orioles farm system will also be without fellow first-round pick Matt Hobgood, who will undergo right shoulder surgery sometime around July 6.
