Orioles vs. Mariners

Greetings from Camden Yards, where the O’s will take on Seattle in a three-game series that doubles as the return of Nelson Cruz. I’ll have more from Cruz later.

Lots of injury updates today, including catcher Matt Wieters who will join the team in Miami this weekend to continue his rehab. Wieters will start his rehab assignment for Double-A Bowie next Tuesday and the plan remains for him to join the O’s on June 4. He has still been catching every other day in extended spring.

Kevin Gausman threw 25 times from 60 feet today and will throw from 90 feet on Thursday. He will also go to Miami and will throw batting practice on Saturday in Miami.

Bud Norris, who has been sick and was placed on the disabled list yesterday, will throw for Triple-A Norfolk on the 22nd. The plan is for him to rejoin the rotation after that.

Tyler Wilson, who is here in place of Norris, will be a bullpen option for now although the team still thinks of him long term as a starter.

A few observations; 1] Wouldn’t Cole Hamels look good in an O’s uniform; likewise NO good reason Cruz is still not an Oriole. Money is always given as justification. If so Angelos should sell !! If Angelos wants tobe an owner in the “Bigs” that does involve spending and giving the fans something to be proud of. The local press now accepts this cheap attitude created by “Fantasy League” owner Angelos’ To that end they expect to lose Wieters & Davis next year. Trade Davis now as he is a nothing but a strike-out machine, I do believe a good hitting coach may help Davis. Case in point Galvis of Phils a 220 hitter now 350. As Galvis gives credit to Mike Schmid for his improvement I don’t see any coach claiming to help Davis.

what did you expect? Angelos is your typical parasite lawyer. Always looking to get something for nothing.

Hey Britt thanks for the updates; question how is Nolan ´Reimhold and the pitching prospect Dillan Bundy????
