Orioles @ Yankees, Flaherty returns

Greetings from Yankee Stadium, where the O’s will add Ryan Flaherty to the active roster tonight and option Rey Navarro. Nothing has officially been announced yet.

Everth Cabrera had his MRI today and it came back clean on his left foot. He was walking around the clubhouse OK and should be ready as soon as he’s eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list.

Finally, word out of Norfolk -from the Virginian Pilot- is that T.J. McFarland is on his way to the big league club. No word yet on what that move would be and if the O’s would add him tonight or use today as a taxi squad day for the lefty.

Chris Davis should be platooned and droped to the 9th hole until he gets his act together, adopts a shorter swing with 2 strikes and drops his strikeouts to one per game during a 2 week period. Right now he is an unwanted burden on the team..I am sorry to say that but truth be told.

Britt, I think it’s a little early to throw Chris Davis under the bus. His OPS is up by .100 over last year and he’s handled all his chances without an error. It’s still early and I’d like to see what we look like when Hardy and Schoop are solidifying our middle. Any word on Schoop’s prognosis?

My outsider’s perspective on the club’s overall status and performance is that last year they had a certain swagger and professionalism about them and the swagger is missing. Probably from the loss of Markakis and Cruz. The professionalism and cool demeanor is still there but opponents don’t fear this club like last year. I’m I close here?

Thanks and keep up the great work!

Brian .
