Orioles-Red Sox Game 3

*Jordan Baker, who ejected Ubaldo Jimenez in Game 1, is not listed on the umpires crew on the lineup cards today. Apparently it’s for personal reasons unrelated to the events of the series opener.

Not much pregame news here today, but Jonathan Schoop did fly to Sarasota, Fla. to start his rehab. Manager Buck Showalter also mentioned pitcher Wesley Wright–who is in Sarasota, is doing well.

Our cheap owner let a quality relief pitcher go to the Yanks bet he wished he had him back since our relief staff sucks…………..Frank Kalita, 40 year Baltimore Oriole Fan.

Britt umpires like the rest of us make mistakes they are only human, especially now that pitchers throw in the mid to high 90s and infielders throw almost as fast to 1st. Ubaldo should have never been thrown out without a warning, and I don’t even think that there was any reason for a warning in the first place, but humans are born to errors in judgement too,
I think the Orioles should push for a 5 minute umpires break in the 5th inning when the basepath are being cleaned, they should be able to sit down, have coffee and beverages served to them and even a Boys room break if need be. After all, everyone else involved in the game has them.
