Orioles @ Nationals Game 2 (updated)

Greetings from Nats Park again where the O’s will play the second of two games in D.C. before hosting Washington for a pair of games at Camden Yards.

*Adam Jones has accepted Jose Bautista’s invitation to participate in this year’s Home Run Derby. Jones spoke with manager Buck Showalter about it earlier today and he will have bullpen catcher Jett Ruiz accompany him to throw. Jones is a first-time participant.

*The Orioles plan to limit Dylan Bundy to 75 pitches in outings this season, but manager Buck Showalter said that doesn’t eliminate the right-hander from potentially being part of the big league rotation this season. Bundy’s next outing is Thursday for Class-A Frederick.

*The Orioles will flip Miguel Gonzalez and Ubaldo Jimenez, with Jimenez pushed to Friday’s start. The O’s could option a starter to the Minors to get an extra bullpen arm for Friday’s game before Jimenez.

*Steve Pearce, who is co-American League Player of the Week, remains the odd man out without the designated hitter. Chris Davis, who homered last night, is at first base with Nelson Cruz in left field.
