Orioles @ Rangers Game 2 lineups & pregame notes (updated)

Greetings from Arlington, where the Orioles will try to extend their three-game winning streak tonight.

*Orioles starter Miguel Gonzalez is getting an MRI on his right side and could be headed to the disabled list. Gonzalez woke up with pain yesterday, and he is a little better today but it’s not terribly encouraging.

Gonzalez’s start on Thursday will go to Chris Tillman and the Os will likely shorten up Kevin Gausman in Triple-A tonight so he can be a Friday option. Tillman took a side session day yesterday and last pitched Saturday, so he’s on track.

No one is saying anything official, but Gonzalez’s symptoms seem to be some kind of oblique injury. If everything checks out OK, he could start on Saturday.

*Top pitching prospect Dylan Bundy, who has been pitching in extended spring, is slated to make his first appearance for an affiliate in starting for short-season Aberdeen on June 15.

*Tommy Hunter, who took fielding practice today, will throw a sim game on Thursday and the team will decide after that whether to activate him (to pitch as early as Saturday) or if Hunter needs another sim game/rehab start.

Buck stii plays guys that don’t hit!, Case in point– Davis !! Play Pearce as he is a gamer.

Plenty of baseball left to go-who says they can’t go 54-27 over the next 81 games? It’s just a matter of time before Chris Davis and Adam Jones heated up at the plate-in which case the birds will have the most dangerous 34 and five batters in all of baseball not to mention the most feared lineup! As far as their pitching is concerned-is at the pitching-the pitching , the coaching for the pictures, or a combination of both? It’s amazing how unlike the earlier years Baltimore can’t seem to solve their pitching tissues

Dream on!! Only Cruz hits in the clutch. We have terrible #4 and # 5 swingers.
