Orioles @ Pirates Game 1

Greetings from PNC Park, where the Orioles will take on the Pirates for a quick two-game set.

*The O’s got some good news today on Dylan Bundy’s first extended spring game, as the right-hander threw 18 pitches and his fastball averaged in the low 90s in his first time facing opposing hitters from another organization since undergoing Tommy John surgery.

Bundy faced the Twins extended spring team and he will go again on Saturday, throwing around 30 pitches and two innings.

*Director of player development Brian Graham will serve as the team’s third base coach tonight with Bobby Dickerson attending his daughter’s high school graduation. Graham filled in as bench coach when John Russell stepped in for manager Buck Showalter in Kansas City on Saturday night and lives a short drive outside of Pittsburgh, in Cranberry Township. Prior to that, he spent some time with the Orioles in 2010. Graham will stay at home for a few days after the series before heading to Harrisburg to watch Double-A Bowie later this week.
