Britton fine after taking a ball off wrist
Orioles lefty Zach Britton took a ball off his glove to end the fifth inning, but manager Buck Showalter said he’s expected to be fine and there aren’t any plans for X-rays on his right wrist.
Britton threw two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out two, in his second spring game. He followed Chris Tillman in the Orioles’ 11-5 win over the Twins Wednesday night. The 25-year-old lefty is competing for a rotation spot this spring and has allowed one run over four innings.
