Orioles vs. Nationals

After splitting a pair of games in DC, the Beltway Series shifts to Baltimore for the next two games.

*In case you missed it, the Orioles optioned Yamaico Navarro and recalled Ryan Flaherty from Triple-A Norfolk and they hope the stay in Triple-A was enough to jump-start Flaherty’s bat. He’s in tonight’s lineup and will also help stabilize the defense, with the club preferring Flaherty’s glove over Navarro’s.

*Some good news on top position player prospect Jonathan Schoop’s back today, as a second opinion confirmed the stress fracture but put the timetable a little ahead of what the club initially thought. Schoop will rest for four weeks and he could be 6-7 weeks away from returning to action.

*Nolan Reimold is running and feeling a lot better, he has yet to sprint but is pretty encouraged.

*Taylor Teagarden caught seven innings in a extended spring today and will DH tomorrow, although he could go to one of the team’s affiliates and start a rehab assignment instead.

*Dylan Bundy is pain-free and has been for about a week with full range of motion, according to manager Buck Showalter. Bundy will see Dr. James Andrews again on June 3 with the 10th the six-week mark from when he got PRP.
