A few more notes and links
*Henry Urrutia will stay in extended spring in Sarasota, Fla. for another week as the organization is waiting on one more paper to secure before the Cuban outfielder is allowed to be sent out to one of the affiliates. Urrutia, who didn’t arrive in the United States until mid-March, is slated to start his season at Double-A Bowie.
“In fairness to him he needs another week, seven, eight, nine, 10 days to get some at-bats and get the rust off from not playing,” executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette said of Urrutia. “He’s not quite ready to go out, we need one more piece of paper that will allow him to go out and play. So hopefully we will get that in the next week or so.”
