Spring Training news & notes Day 13 (updated)

*The Orioles will take on the Yankees this afternoon in a 1:05 p.m. game that will be broadcast on MASN.

*Tsuyoshi Wada threw a bullpen session this morning his first since undergoing Tommy John surgery on his left elbow in May. It marked Wada’s first time on a full mound since a rehab start April 19 for Triple-A Norfolk in which he went 2 2/3 innings, allowing six earned runs on six hits and four walks with a strikeout.

You can read more on that here.

*Nolan Reimold gets the starts at leadoff and in left field, with Conor Jackson getting time in right field. Brian Matusz will make his first start of the spring, with the rotation resetting tomorrow with Chris Tillman getting his second start.

Also slated to pitch behind Tillman: Todd Redmond, Steve Johnson and Dylan Bundy.

*Wednesday’s split squad games will be started by Jake Arrieta (1:05 p.m. at New York Yankees) and Zach Britton will start the night home game vs. Boston. Former Oriole Koji Uehara is on the travel list for the Red Sox.

*The Orioles will have a simulated game on the back fields at Ed Smith Stadium tomorrow, with several veterans throwing. Wei-Yin Chen, Jason Hammel and Miguel Gonzalez are among the starters who haven’t appeared in an official game and could throw there or at the Minor League facility at Twins Lakes Park.
