Orioles movie night
The Orioles entire team and coaching staff started filtering back in at about 5:30 p.m. on the eve of the first full-squad workout for the surprise manager Buck Showalter is infamous for.
Last year, after Orioles players reported to Ed Smith Stadium for the first full-team meeting, they were ushered out to buses and taken to a local movie theater. As part of Showalter’s presentation to the team, he showed them a 12-minute custom-made highlight video which featured individual highlights of players and other motivational footage, such as clips from past Orioles bench-clearing brawls. The whole thing, which was set to music, was really well-received.
The team loaded up on buses again tonight before departing at about 6:15 p.m. ET, and they went to a local Sarasota theatre to watch another custom-made video montage. No word on how it was different from last year’s, but I’m sure we’ll get more feedback from the players in the morning.

I guess my impression was that the media was invited, because of Roch’s tweet about being behind the team bus. I’ll try not to let the suspense kill me.
