Orioles/Blue Jays lineups and pregame tidbits
*Shortstop J.J. Hardy will meet with Dr. John Wilckens later today, to examine Hardy’s upper ankle that he tweaked Wednesday and forced him out of Thursday’s game in Kansas City. Buck Showalter said there is no swelling and Hardy said that he feels like nothing ever happened. However, the severity of the injury and whether Hardy goes on the DL will not be known until later, as Showalter said Hardy will get a MRI tomorrow morning if not today.
*If everything goes well pregame, infielder Cesar Izturis will be activated for tonight’s game and Josh Bell will likely be optioned to open up a roster spot
*Chris Tillman was in Baltimore today and will most likely get the start tomorrow, prompting another roster move, which could be Jake Arrieta being put on the DL. Arrieta will see orthopedist Dr. Lewis Yocum on Wednesday to examine his right elbow. Surgery would sit Arrieta for the rest of the season.
*Brian Roberts is making progress in Sarasota, but Showalter said his return is a relative unkown
