Orioles/Yankees DH

It’s going to be a long day of baseball today and with the Trade Deadline 4 p.m. tomorrow, I’ll keep you updated on all happenings as they relate to the Orioles.

As expected, Brad Bergesen was placed on the paternity list today with Chris Tillman taking his spot on the 25-man roster. Bergesen can stay on that list for three days under MLB’s rules.

Cesar Izturis is still here working out with the team, but it’s highly unlikely that he’s activated before Sunday at the earliest.  The O’s will have to make another roster move for tonight’s starter, Zach Britton, with Tillman being optioned back to Norfolk a possibility as well as sending out infielders Blake Davis or Josh Bell.
