Why does Buck Showalter stick his least productive batters in the middle of the line up??? Vlad Guerraro and Derreck Lee together have about as many RBI’s as mark Reynolds who is hitting seventh. Doesn’t really matter when you pitchers walk four guys in less then five innings and then they give up three HR’s and defensively keep giving extra opportunities. I honestly thought we had a good young pitching staff who had learned how to pitch. Boy was i wrong…when you ERA is dead last and the Yankee’s pickup two guys for a bit over league minimum and your bullpen loses four guys and your ERA is fourth. This team is fundamentally terrible and instead of sitting back and waiting for the 3 run HR they need to move the runners over by hitting behind the runners and bunting. Not asking for the world…just fundamental baseball…not walks and three run HR’s.

From what I hear, Vlad’s time in the cleanup spot isn’t much longer unless he starts to produce.

From your place near the team, does Buck ever lose patience, and in a team gathered situation have an intense conversation?

He had a team meeting last night after the loss in Texas. Didn’t do much good, I guess.– Brittany
