Accardo accepts Triple-A assignment
I’m a little late to this party, but I just landed back in Baltimore and wanted to pass along that Jeremy Accardo cleared waivers and accepted an assignment with Triple-A Norfolk.
Accardo, who was designated over the weekend, could have elected to become a free agent instead but than the O’s would be off the hook for the rest of his salary, which is about $1 million. He should report within the next day or two.
*Also if you missed it in my notes earlier, Many Machado will make his debut for Class-A Frederick tomorrow night. Machado was promoted from Delmarva officially today.
