A few postgame notes
*Orioles catcher Matt Wieters‘ right hand/forearm area had
some pins and needles after he was hit in the elbow by Carl Crawford’s swing in
the fifth inning of Saturday’s game. Wieters shook out his hand a little bit, but
remained in. Showalter said he won’t play in Sunday’s game just to be on the safe
side.
*Showalter also confirmed if Brian Matusz and Justin Duchscherer both feel OK on Sunday they will throw in Tuesday’s game in Clearwater. For more on them, check out today’s notebook here.
