Pie still on for Monday
Outfielder Felix Pie played another full rehab game on Friday -after dealing with hamstring tightness during Thursday’s contest- and is still on track to be activated for Monday’s series in Detroit.
“[Pie had] no complaints,” Samuel said of the report from Double-A Bowie. “That was good news for us.”
Pie, who has been playing for Bowie since June 29, went 0-for-3 with a walk on Friday and is expected to play another full game for the Baysox on Saturday. He has been on the 60-day disabled list with an upper back strain suffered in mid-April.
If everything goes according to plan, Samuel said the team will fly Pie out on Sunday, and the corresponding roster move, which could be a pitcher or position player, will be decided.

McPhail needs to make his moves BEFORE our trade chips lose value and I do hope we DON’T TRADE for leftovers or rethreads –he needs to turn some heads with his next trade! I think we can all agree Jake Fox type utility players are NOT starting type ballplayers. We have an INFIELD HALF MADE UP OF UTILITY PLAYERS ! We need Quality starters —So Andy hurry it up PLEASE!
