Orioles/Yankees Game 2

*Mike Gonzalez threw a bullpen session on Wednesday in Sarasota. I wrote more about Gonzalez’s rehab progression yesterday. The team was hoping to have him back for West Coast trip, but the homestand immediately following seems more likely.

“I think Gonzo has to throw down there [in Sarasota] before going out on the rehab [assignment],” manager Dave Trembley said. “I know he talked about trying to be ready for that west coast trip. I don’t know if that’s going to happen.”

*Brian Roberts will play in his first extended spring game on Friday and will progress toward playing a full game at second base, which is scheduled for June 10.
 
*Jim Johnson will start his throwing program in Sarasota on Monday and Felix Pie will start one later this week. Both of those guys are a ways away.
