Game 2: Twins/Os nightcap

The Orioles will try to complete a day-night doubleheader sweep tonight with Kevin Millwood facing Scott Baker. I spent most of my time in between games walking around Target Field, and came away really impressed. If you missed it, I blogged a few pictures the other day. But that in no way does it justice. If you get a chance or like to make an occasional road trip, this is a must-see (especially later in the summer when it warms up.)

Not much pregame notes, but Julio Lugo is back in the lead off spot after going 3-for-4 this afternoon. As expected Wieters is DH’ing and Hughes replaces Atkins with the right-handed Baker on the hill.

Earlier today, Double-A Bowie placed Wilfrido Perez on the 15-day disabled list. Perez was the guy taken off the 40-man earlier this season when the club needed to make a spot for Alfredo Simon. Speaking of Simon, you would think we’d see him tonight in a save spot since Koji closed out the afternoon game. It’s also Simon’s 29th birthday today.
Jeremy Guthrie did a nice job of saving the bullpen with only Will Ohman and Koji used earlier. Should be a good game. And as always, check Twitter for more in-game updates.
