Norfolk 12, Toledo 7
Josh Bell hit a three-run home run, his fifth of the season, and Michael Aubrey added a solo blast, his second of the season, to lead the Tides offense. Scott Moore’s double plated the first of five Tides runs in the 8th inning.
Kam Mickolio picked up the win in relief, his first of the season. Right-hander Armando Gabino also added a pair of scoreless innings of relief, and has now allowed just two earned runs in 11 inning this season, striking out 10.
Lefty Troy Patton takes the hill tonight coming off his best start of the season. Patton pitched allowed just one run on five hits over seven innings on May 1 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Harrisburg 6, Bowie 3
The Baysox could not pick up the four game sweep over Harrisburg on Thursday, as they dropped the finale of their series with the Senators. Right-hander Chorye Spoone tossed a season-high six innings but allowed six runs on ten hits.
Frederick 5, Winston-Salem 4
Right-hander Ryan O’Shea allowing two runs on seven hits over five scoreless innings, walking one and striking five. L.J. Hoes went 2-4 with a double and Brian Ward hit his second home run of the season to pace the Keys offense.
