Orioles/Yankees finale

*Adam Jones was a last-minute scratch from the leadoff spot with a right hip strain, with Lou Montanez taking his place. The Orioles shifted Lugo up to the No. 1 hole.

*The Orioles will try to avoid a sweep at the hands of Andy Pettitte, who is undefeated in his last eight starts against Baltimore and has lost just twice in his last 20 games, going 14-2 with a 3.06 ERA against the O’s.

“We’ve got to score some runs,” manager Dave Trembley said prior to the game. “We’re facing the premier Orioles nemesis in Mr. Pettitte. I told him last week we’re going to steal one from him. We’re going to see if we can keep our word with that.”
