Down on the Farm 4/11

Triple-A Norfolk dropped their series finale with Durham on
Sunday, 3-2, to settle for a split in the series. Lefty Troy Patton took the loss, pitching 5 1/3 innings and
allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits while walking three and striking
out five.

 

Scott Moore went 3-4 with a double, two runs
scored and his first home run of the year while Michael Aubrey added a pair of hits and an RBI.

tossed
2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.


The Tides will begin a
three-game series with Charlotte tonight at
7:15 with Brandon Erbe scheduled to
make his Triple-A debut.

Double-A Bowie won the finale in their series with Richmond on
Sunday, 4-1, to take three of four games from the Flying Squirrels. Ryoehi Tanaka started for the Baysox and
earned the victory by pitching six shutout innings, while allowing five hits
and striking out four.

 

Brandon
Waring and Tyler Henson
hit back-to-back solo home runs, the first of the season for both.
