Pre-Opening Day
Greetings from the press box
at Tropicana Field, a place I always have a soft spot for because it’s where I started
my career, as an associate reporter for the Rays in 2008.
After a day off for Easter,
the Orioles will get a workout in today from 3-5 p.m. ET and afterwards will
have a meeting to go over signs and scouting reports. Most of baseball starts
Opening Day today, but given that the Rays play in a dome, the two teams didn’t
have to worry about any possible rainout.

earlier, I took a minute to thank
you guys for a great spring.
And Michael Aubrey cleared
waivers and will be playing in Triple-A Norfolk.
I talked to some of the
Orioles about their first Opening Day memories. That story will be up on Orioles.com later
on today as well.
