Orioles-Blue Jays Lineups and Tidbits
Like I blogged yesterday, Felix Pie was seen throwing
the baseball around the complex and said this morning the plan will be to
progress a little from there. He also took some swings off the tee, but was
hesitant about whether he’d take full swings today.
I checked in with Mike Gonzalez, who was not thrilled about the reports his arm is hurt. He said his arm
feels fine, and if his back feel OK today, he will throw a bullpen later in the
afternoon.
As expected Nolan Reimold is at designated hitter for today’s game,
giving him consecutive DH starts. Manager Dave Trembley told reporters in Fort
Myers yesterday that the plan is to get him seven at-bats. Reimold went 0-for-3
with a strikeout against the Twins, so he could realistically DH the whole game
today.
Here’s the rest of the lineup that will take the field as Jason Berken makes
his first start this spring. It’s raining right now (at a little after 9 am),
but according to Accuweather we’re only getting some light rain around 1 p.m.
(which, of course, is first pitch.)
So stayed tuned.
